Read the table on this page and answer these questions as related to that table. You must label your answers from A-G. Any paper not labeled will not be graded. This will help you to organize your thoughts. Use only the information from the table below and do not make any assumptions, especially about the relative importance of the indicators.

GRADING= Ten percent of your grade is based on English Composition components such as proper margins, as show in the modified ASA Style Format provided for you in the Content Section of Blackboard. Please see the section on the Modified ASA Guidelines for the specifics of writing a paper for this class.

Proper spelling, sentence construction and the other aspects of proper grammar based on your English Composition courses will represent another 10% of your grade. Content represents the other 80% of your grade and the thoroughness of your answers to the questions below directly affects this portion of your grade.

YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF THREE FULL PAGES AND NO MORE THAN FOUR FULL PAGES!!! Having less than three full pages or more than four full pages will result in a 15 point penalty per page or partial page added or missing. The content portion of your grade is based on the completeness of your answers to the following questions.

A) Listing each year, which group is the most poverty stricken? (6 points)
B) Listing each year, which group has the most people who are working? (6 points)
C) Listing each year, which group has the lowest level of education? (6 points)
D) The table contains five different indicators of socioeconomic status. Using all five indicators, determine which of the three social groups being studied has the highest status for each year, the middle status for each year, and the lowest status for each year (not for each indicator). You should have nine answers (3 years X 3 statuses). Very briefly discuss your reasoning as to how you arrived at this answer. (27 points)
E) Compare the median, income of the groups. How many times greater (be accurate to two decimal points) was the European-American income than the African-American income for each year listed? How many times greater (be accurate to two decimal points) was the European-American income than the Hispanic/Latino income for each year? (18 points)
F) [1] Make a table similar to the one on the reverse side of this page showing the % difference in each indicator for each group between the years 1990 and 2000, and the years 2000 and 2010 (SEE EXAMPLE). [2] Which group (comparing each of the indicators) made the greatest overall improvement from 1990 to 2000? [3] Which group (based on all the indicators) made the greatest overall improvement from 2000 to 2010? Make sure all of your numbers show a %. (15 points) NOTE: You have to change the income to a %! (15 points)
G) Taking all of this into consideration, write an essay describing your feelings and thoughts regarding this information. Remember that this is an essay. If you are still unsure of what an essay is after high school and however many years of college you have had be sure and ask your English professor. Keep in mind that this is an essay and worth 25% of your paper grade so write it accordingly. (22 points)
