2) PEER REVIEW #1
This video is so informative on securities. It really finds an easy to understand way to define securities. It defines securities as those investments that allow you to own things without physically holding onto them. Examples of securities includes stocks and bonds. Marketable securities are those investments that are easily bought and sold in a public markets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds and certificates of deposits. Non-marketable securities on the other hand are those, which are difficult to buy such as the government bonds and private company shares. Securities are never secured with collateral such as cars.
3)PEER REVIEW #2
Hello Class and Professor,
For this week’s discussion, I decided to find a article related to treasury securities since I found the topic very interesting and I also learned things that I didn’t have much knowledge about. Treasury securities is debt obligations of the U.S government like bills and bonds. I learned that it is considered the safest of all investments. After watching the video, I am now aware of how important security is and why it is such a big deal. The video broke down everything into depth were I could understand on a different level. The article I chose is http://investinginbonds.com/learnmore.asp?catid=9&subcatid=50&id=97.
